** Tax form for Canada equivalent to US IRS form W9 ?? **
Q.Anyone know if there is a form for the Canadian tax authority which is quivalent to the US IRS form W9? The W9 is used by employers in the USA to request a persons name, address, and social security number when they want to work as an independant contractor here in the USA. I would think that Canadian businesses must also get this information properly when dealing with independant contractors on a similiar form to a W9. Anyone know what form that is? Could you please post a link to this form so that I can download it in .pdf format?

That you assume that there is is arrogant in the extreme. If you don't believe me, my *suggestion* is that you go to http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/menu-e.html and do your own damned research. That's ONLY for people in the CONSTRUCTION industry. I've had idiot scammers, now FORMER clients, who tried to use these things that were scammed off on them by EMPLOYERS.
