Is there a table that would contain the total tax% for each IRS Tax Schedule ID we are using?

Q.Is there a table that would contain the total tax% for each IRS Tax Schedule ID we are using? Meaning...IRS Tax Schedule A consists of 3 Tax Details IDs (State, County, City) totaling 7%....IRS Tax Schedule B contains 2 Tax Detail IDs totaling 6.5%.....etc.etc. We use a internally developed software that contains our billing intellingence...but that does not do well with sales tax (there is only an option for a total tax %, not the components like we have set up in Dynamics). Before billing, I would like our internal software to verify the tax rate of our clients. If there is a table that holds the total tax for a IRS Tax Schedule ID, and not the components of said IRS Tax Schedule ID, I could have a process to look up each client ID, pull the total tax % and then generate the invoice. Does this table exist in GP? And if so, does anybody know the name of the table?

A.There is no table that holds the total tax percentage of a Irs tax schedule ID. The only thing I can think of is that you can calculate it when needed by using table TX00101 to get the list of the tax detail id's for the Irs tax schedule and table TX00201 to get the tax % for each of those details and add them up. However, depending on what you're going to do with that invoice afterwards (ie, if it's going to be entered or imported into GP) you need to consider that GP calculates each tax detail separately and then adds the results together. So if you first add all the %ages and then calculate the tax you might have rounding issues. For example: say you have a tax detail for NY State of 4% and NY City of 4.375%. When GP calculates tax on $2.34 the NY State tax will be $0.09 and the NYC tax will be $0.10, so the total will be $0.19. However, if you calculate $2.34 x 8.375%, you'll get $0.20
