How to contact IRS to get them to mail me the normal labeled 1040 packet again on an annual basis?

Q.3 years ago, TurboTax offered a PC type form for the Fed return. I used it and ever since, the IRS no longer mails me a labeled 1040 packet, it wants me to file electronically, which I won't do. I now mail in the TurboTax return. Starting next year, I am going back to preparing my return manually, no software. I called the IRS forms section, but they say they can't reinstate annual 1040 mailing to me. How to contact IRS to get them to mail me the normal labeled 1040 packet again on an annual basis?

A.Threaten to hold your breath until you turn blue? Forget about it and download needed files from http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/display/0,,i1%3D50%26genericId%3D10204,0 When you next feel like doing your tax return by hand, download the forms and instructions from the IRS (and/or pick them up from the post office/library/IRS office), fill them out, and file your return. The following year you'll get the packet. I believe that they have discontinued the mailing of all 1040's. I haven't received one in about 3 years. This is probably part of their [secret] push to get everyone to e-file. As for getting forms, order PUBLICATION 1045 (not form 1045, which also exists), and complete form 3975 to get on the mailing list
